Prenatal
Public classes on hold
2601 Mission St. (at 22nd), Suite 201
The Mission Lotus Center is home to practitioners of the healing arts, such as acupuncture, massage and homeopathy. I am excited to share the space with them to hold group prenatal meetings, teach independent classes on women's health, pregnancy and Birthing From Within, as well as Childbirth Prep Intensives for Natural Resources.
A drop-in prenatal group/circle for expectant parents to meet, build relationships, digest information, share experiences, prepare for birth, ask questions, discuss various related topics and make space to celebrate and enjoy this special time. Meets 1-2 times per month and is included with the doula package.
Labor & Birth often remain a secret for the initiated and is surrounded by fear, even for those who have experienced it firsthand. Meanwhile, every woman/couple's experience is different. This workshop will help you to understand the physiology of labor and birth to better support women in the prenatal and postnatal stages of life. Modalities will include discussion, videos, handouts and group work. We will cover the physiology of birth-how it works, modern birth culture, common interventions, psychological impact and your own biases. Bring your questions and an open mind. Get ready for a new perspective, even if you are a parent already. This workshop is open to men and women.
Sunday, June 28, 10am-2:30pm
Workshop Fee: $65 before 6/18, $75
($60 each for groups of 3 or more)
